Sapa - Cat Cat – 2,300m Campsite
After briefing by your guide, your Fansipan trek and expedition begins with a short transfer from Sapa town to Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong minority at the foot of the mountain. Cross a suspension bridge and start ascending, firstly on hill-sides with view over the picturesque Muong Hoa valley and beautiful Sapa town, then through dense forests where you put more concentration on the rougher trail. Your lunch will be served nearby a stream inside an old forest.
Post lunch, the trail mostly though forest takes you up and down some peaks to the 1st camp base at 2,300m. You will have opportunity to discover the diversified system of flora and/or fauna in which many have been put in the list of valuable and rare species of Vietnam. You will eventually arrive at the camp base in the late afternoon. It is time for relaxing and enjoying your well deserved dinner. You will stay the night in a tent.

Sunrise in the peak of Fansipan – 3,143m - Back to Sapa
The final section today is rather short and almost downhill - through bamboo and cane forests to the altitude of 2,80000m where you will have the last Fansipan trekking lunch. The afternoon trek is shorter but it’s no less interesting. Finally, you will arrive at the gate of Hoang Lien Mountain Park where the forest rangers will give you a medal and certificate as honouring and the vehicle is awaiting for you to take you back to Sapa. You have your own time to have dinner before driving to Hanoi on the overnight bus.

For safety, please note that the climb up Fansipan is long and strenuous and should only be undertaken by those who are fit and in good health. If you are in any doubt about your stamina, you should consult your doctor about the advisability of this challenge. No specialist skills or technical equipment are needed – just plenty of stamina and a good head for heights. All camping and cooking equipment can be provided, or guests can bring their own if they prefer. Porters are available to carry equipment.
